Jeep surprised everyone by teasing an off-road e-bike through a Groundhog Day-inspired Super Bowl ad starring Bill Murray. While the commercial was created primarily for the Jeep Gladiator pickup truck, the Jeep electric bicycle makes a short cameo. The American automaker hasn’t revealed anything about the electric bicycle as yet; however, all-terrain electric bike maker QuietKat, which is building the e-bike for Jeep, published a few details on its official website. According to the description, the upcoming electric mountain bike will feature a 750-watt motor and will be capable of achieving 40 miles (about 65km) of range on a single charge. But the e-bike teased in the commercial looks to be powered by a much more powerful motor built by a Chinese company called Bafang that puts out a peak power of 1600W with a standard 52V e-bike battery. The Jeep e-bike will make its debut in June this year.
