Avengers: Endgame is indeed the most anticipated Hollywood release this year, thanks to the heartbreaking ending in Infinity War. However, we still have 28 days to go before we find out how the heroes will come together to make things right. There will be a lot happening in the movie and since there are 21 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there's a lot that you need to know before April 26, 2019. Don't worry, we are here to help you! We have created this handy guide to let you know everything about the Avengers before watching Endgame.

1. Connection between all the Marvel movies:

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been built through phases. In the first phase, the origing stories of Thor, Hulk, Captain America, and Iron Man are included. All these super heroes are brought together through the Avengers and it was the first film to show Thanos and it also confirmed his seatch for the Tesseract (which we later find out is an Infinity Stone). The second phase was a compilation of sequels and also had a few new introductions, like that of The Ant-Man, and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Phase three introduced the fans to Spider-Man (Argubaly the favourite of many), Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel and of course, Black Panther. All these phases connected each other with  Infinity Stones and everything leading to what happened in Infinity War where (almost) all the super heroes were either dead or dusted.

Now, you must be wondering what are these Infinity stones and why are they so important. Right?

2. What are the Infinity Stone?

There are six Infinity Stones- Power stone, Mind Stone, Space Stone, Time Stone, Reality Stone, and Soul Stone. These stones control different aspects of existence. The stones have always existed but in different forms until Thanos collected them to put it in his Infinity Gauntlet. Wondering where were these stones? Well, Loki's scepter contained the Mind Stone, Doctor Strange's necklace- Eye of Agamotto had the Time Stone inside it, the Space Stone was inside the Tesseract.  The stones are powerful, but when Thanos got all of them together, his powers became limitless.

3. Who is Thanos and why is he dangerous?

Avengers Thanos

Thanos, the purple alien comes from Titan, Saturn's moon and has always been a foe of the super heroes. He believes that the only way to have a stable balance in the universe is to limit the population. He travelled from planet to planet, destroying  half of the life on it, and adopting orphans from the races he killed. He was not a good parent and some of his children hated him. Gamora is one of them and Thanos killed her to get the Soul Stone in Avengers: Infinity War. Thanos adopted Nebula and she also hates him. Teaser: She is left alive after the snap and can be seen with Iron Man trying to find a way to back on the Earth. Infinity Stones made Thanos even more powerful and deadly.

4. All about Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War was all about Thanos, the Infinity Stones and then finding ways to stop him from using it. However, Thanos wiped away half of the life in all the universe with just a snap of his finger. The movie ended with the deaths of all the super heroes with the post-credit scene showing Nick Fury using a pager to get in touch with Captain Marvel.

5. How did superheroes die?

Much before this deadly snap, we saw that Loki died while trying to kill Thanos, Gamora, the adopted daughter of Thanos is thrown off the cliff by her father (Thanos) to get the Soul Stone, Thanos rips out the Mind Stone from Vision's forehead, and Heimdall is also murdered. Then, once the snap happens, we see other super heroes- Drax and Mantis, Nick Fury, Super Man, Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Falcon, Star-Lord, Groot, and Maria Hill fading into dust.

FUN FACT: Avengers: Infinity War had more superheroes than any other Avengers film before it.

6. What do we find in the films after Infinity War?

Marvel Cinematic Universe released two films after Avengers: Infinity War- Captain Marvel and Ant-Man and the Wasp. Both the movies, in its post-credit scenes show what happens after the snap. We find out that Janet Van Dyne (Wasp), Hank Pym, and Hope Pym were also dusted while Ant-Man is in the quantum realm and we also see Captain America, Bruce Banner, Rhodey, and Black Widow inspecting the pager and  Captain Marvel arriving and asking about Nick Fury’s whereabouts. (We still have hopes!!!) Not only this, our favourite Spider Man is also coming back despite being dusted. A sequel, Spider Man: Far From Home is coming out in July after Avengers: Endgame.

7. What the Avengers: Endgame trailers tell us?

avengers Characters that are alive at the beginning of Endgame got colored posters, while those who didn’t make it following The Snap had black and white posters.

In Avengers: Endgame first trailer we can see Tony Stark drifting through space after being left on Titan (he once fought Thanos there). He is waiting for rescue alongwith Nebula. On the Earth, Black Widow, Captain America are back at Avengers Headquarters and are trying to find a way to get everyone back. Here's a look at the trailer:

The second trailer is incredible. We can see Captain Marvel joining the fight as heroes like Thor, Black Widow, Ant-Man, Iron Man, Captain America try to find a way to battle back against what Thanos did.
