One hundred and ten years after French aviator Louis Bleriot's  groundbreaking flight across the English Channel, the latest Friend of the Brand and flying pioneer Franky Zapata successfully crossed the English Channel piloting his legendary jet-propelled Flyboard Air in a first-of-its-kind adventure. He was wearing the Zenith Type 20 Chronograph Adventure watch during the history-making 22-minute (35.4km) flight on August 4.

Leading Swiss watch brand Frederique Constant unveiled their 28th in-house calibre within its Manufacture collection — the Slimline 50-hour Power Reserve in Mumbai last week. The new collection is a classic watch designed with the renowned FC-703 base and a 50-hour power reserve module added to create the relatively young brand's 28th in-house calibre FC-723 Manufacture automatic calibre.

The timepiece is available in a 40mm stainless steel or rose gold-plated stainless steel case with different dial colours including silver, dark grey and navy blue. The dial features an easy-to-read power reserve indicator at 10 o'clock, elongated Feuille hands, sun-ray decoration and printed Roman numerals give the watch its classic design.

When asked about the favourite part of the newly launched Frederique Constant Slimline 50-hour Power Reserve, Williams Besse, International Sales Director for Frederique Constant, said, "For me, it's clearly the size. I've been requesting a 40mm Slimline in the collection for a long time now and finally, we have one. Of course, the design, quality, the ratio of price and quality is very good. You may also like the complication. But for me, it's the size."

Hublot launches the 8th edition of the Classic Fusion Mykonos

After the immense success of the first seven editions of the Classic Fusion Mykonos, Hublot is geared up to produce the latest instalment to this popular collection — the 2019 Classic Fusion Mykonos. Inspired by the Aegean Sea and the Cyclades Archipelago, the brand offers a watch that features a sky blue ceramic bezel for the first time. It also houses the rotating windmill that symbolises the iconic Mykonos, “waving”, at 3 o’clock.
