Jaeger-LeCoultre this year is honouring Vallée de Joux and the place's astounding legacy of chiming timepieces with the launch of two new Memovox models in the Master Control collection along with reinterpretation of Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication with a magnificent new design. With these, Jaeger-LeCoultre is paying homage to the valley's two distinctive sound signatures.
Jaeger-LeCoultre's immaculate proficiency in chiming mechanisms needs no introduction. This year, the Swiss luxury watchmaker has launched the new-generation Master Control Memovox, borrowing the ingenuity from Memovox watches of the 1950s with the minute repeater and the Memovox alarm. Both new models — Master Control Memovox Timer and Master Control Memovox — feature an updated version of the revised self-winding calibre 956. The engineers at Jaeger-LeCoultre have this time developed a new function called the Timer for Master Control Memovox Timer. This feature allows the wearer to set a conventional alarm or use the central countdown timer scale to fix the number of hours and minutes within which you want the timer to tick off.
Master Control Memovox retains the charm and elegance of its vintage predecessor in its uncluttered dial. With its sloping bezel, dynamically curved lugs and mix of polished and satin-brushed surfaces, the design evokes a relaxed, contemporary flamboyance. The Dauphine hands in the new variant bare striking resemblance to the older timepiece that became a timeless classic in the mid-century. The two Memovox models are offered in the new 40-mm Master Control case with a dial laid out in concentric rings, in two shades of blue with a sunray finish.
The Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication is a testament to Jaeger-LeCoultre's prowess in creating chiming marvels. The new designs stay true to the brand's creative expertise. The ingenious design reflects the brand's skills over astronomical complications. The Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication comes in a 45mm case with manual mechanical movement and Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 945. Be it mechanical engineering, challenging complications - a minute repeater and a celestial vault, the Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication stays true to its name.
